On today's show we speak with professor, political scientist, and scholar Tony Spanakos, whose work has appeared in The Blackwell Philosophy and Pop Culture series including The Avengers and Philosophy, Batman and Philosophy, Spider-Man and Philosophy, Watchmen and Philosophy, and Ironman in Philosophy. In lieu of forthcoming television series such as Gotham and Daredevil (Marvel's Netflix series') we talk about his articles 'Governing Gotham' (Batman and Philosophy 2008) and 'Hell's Kitchen's Prolonged Crisis and Would-Be Sovereigns: Daredevil, Hobbes, and Schmitt' (2014). We also briefly talk about his latest piece about Marvel's 'Civil War'.
